About the role
Our Tung Chung property serves the airport, which means a room can check out at 6am and be occupied again by 2pm. Departures cluster, arrivals cluster, and the housekeeping floor team has a tighter window than at any other hotel in the group.
This is a six-month fixed-term supervisor role covering our peak schedule from September through February. You will run a floor section of 12 room attendants and two housemen, inspect to standard, and keep the room-ready board honest for the front desk — because a room marked ready that is not ready costs us more than a room reported late.
The Executive Housekeeper has been at this property since it opened and runs a tight, fair department. Several previous fixed-term supervisors have moved into permanent roles at our other properties, and we will actively help you do that if the work is good.
What you'll do
- Supervise a floor team of 12 room attendants and 2 housemen across a section of 160 rooms
- Inspect departure and stayover rooms to brand standard and release them to the front desk accurately
- Allocate daily room assignments against the arrival pattern, prioritising early check-ins and VIP rooms
- Manage linen, amenities and cleaning-supply par levels on your floors, and report shortfalls before they bite
- Handle lost property, maintenance defects and guest requests, logging every one in the system
- Coach new attendants on technique, pace and the chemical and manual-handling safety rules
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in hotel housekeeping with at least 1 year supervising or inspecting
- Able to work a rotating six-day roster including weekends and public holidays for the full six months
- Native Cantonese and enough English to communicate with guests and the front desk
- Physically able to work a full shift on the floors, including stairs during lift maintenance
- Secondary education; hospitality training is a plus but not required
Nice to have
- Experience in an airport or high-turnover property
- Familiarity with a housekeeping module in Opera or a mobile room-status app
- Basic Tagalog, Indonesian or Nepali to support a diverse floor team
What you get
- Duty meals, uniform and laundry provided
- HK$1,200 monthly attendance allowance and completion gratuity at the end of the term
- Free staff shuttle from Tung Chung MTR and subsidised airport-area transport
- Medical cover from day one of the contract
- Priority consideration for permanent supervisor roles across the group
