Marketplace Operations Specialist

About the role

Besides our own site, Mongkok Market Online sells through four third-party marketplaces, each with its own listing rules, penalty system and idea of what a good seller looks like. Somebody has to keep all of it green: listing quality scores, out-of-stock suppression, late-dispatch rates, and the appeals when a platform suspends a SKU for a reason nobody can explain.

That is this role. It is genuinely remote — the team runs on a shared board and a daily 10am stand-up, and most of us come into Mong Kok about twice a month for range reviews. What we need from you is ownership: if the dispatch metric drops on a Sunday, you notice before the platform emails us.

You will work closely with the warehouse team in Kwai Chung, the category buyers, and the two customer service leads. The person who does this well ends up knowing more about our operation than anyone else in the building.

What you'll do

• Own listing health across four marketplaces — content completeness, image compliance, variant structure and category mapping
• Monitor seller scorecards daily and act on late dispatch, cancellation and defect metrics before they trigger a penalty
• Manage bulk listing uploads and price and stock feeds, and fix the sync failures that follow
• Handle platform disputes, listing takedowns and appeals, including the evidence packs
• Coordinate marketplace campaign sign-ups, vouchers and flash-sale slots with the trading team
• Report weekly on marketplace revenue, margin after platform fees, and the operational metrics that put us at risk

What we're looking for

• 3+ years running seller accounts on regional or cross-border marketplaces
• Strong spreadsheet skills and real comfort with bulk data — you will be handling 40,000-row files regularly
• Working Cantonese, Mandarin and English; platform account managers sit in three different markets
• Self-directed enough to work remotely without someone checking your calendar
• Higher diploma or above

Nice to have

• Experience with a listing management or feed tool
• Understanding of cross-border logistics and Hong Kong export documentation
• Basic scripting or Google Apps Script to automate the boring half of the job
