BIM Coordinator

About the role

Digital Delivery is a four-person team inside Bamboo & Steel that supports every live project with modelling, coordination and 4D sequencing. We are hiring because two new schemes both carry full BIM deliverables under the client's EIR, and because our site teams have finally started asking for models rather than tolerating them.

You will federate architectural, structural and MEP models, run clash detection cycles, chair coordination workshops with the design and subcontractor teams, and turn resolved clashes into drawings the site can build from. You will also maintain the common data environment and keep the model current against as-built reality.

The team works in English, which makes this one of the more accessible roles on a Hong Kong site for someone relocating. Hybrid working, with site attendance during coordination sprints and key installation phases.

What you'll do

• Federate and maintain discipline models in a common data environment against the project BEP
• Run clash detection cycles in Navisworks and manage the clash register through to resolution
• Chair weekly BIM coordination workshops with designers, subcontractors and site engineers
• Produce coordinated drawings, builder's work openings and installation sequences from the model
• Support 4D programme linking and quantity extraction for the commercial team
• Enforce modelling standards, naming conventions and LOD requirements across the supply chain
• Capture as-built updates and prepare the asset information model for handover

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural or Building Services Engineering, or Construction Informatics
• 3+ years of BIM coordination on live construction projects
• Strong Revit and Navisworks; comfortable with a CDE such as BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud or Viewpoint
• Able to read and interrogate structural and MEP drawings well enough to challenge a designer
• Business English — the Digital Delivery team documents and meets in English

Nice to have

• Dynamo, Python or Revit API scripting for model automation
• Experience with the CIC BIM Standards or ISO 19650 workflows
• Point cloud scan-to-BIM verification experience
