About the role
Goldpeak's Admiralty office tower runs a small in-house technical team so that tenants are not waiting on a contractor for a blown ballast or a blocked pantry sink. Weekdays are covered; weekends are not, and it shows in our response times.
We are looking for one part-time technician to cover Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 to 18:00, with occasional weekday relief if you want the extra hours. You will handle first-line electrical, plumbing and general building repairs, respond to tenant calls logged through the concierge, do planned checks on the water tanks, pumps and generator, and escort specialist contractors on site.
This suits someone already working weekdays elsewhere, or a semi-retired technician who wants regular, predictable hours in a clean commercial building rather than a construction site.
What you'll do
- Respond to tenant maintenance calls logged at the concierge desk within the agreed response time
- Carry out first-line electrical, lighting, small power, plumbing and drainage repairs
- Complete planned preventive maintenance checks on pumps, water tanks, generators and lighting circuits
- Escort and supervise specialist contractors attending at weekends, including permit checks
- Log all work, parts used and readings in the facilities management system before the end of shift
- Support emergency response during typhoon signal 8 and black rainstorm standby
What we're looking for
- Craft certificate or Higher Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade training
- Valid Registered Electrical Worker registration (Grade A or above)
- 2+ years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial or hotel property
- Fluent Cantonese; basic English is enough for reading equipment labels and tenant names
- Available Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 to 18:00, on a permanent part-time basis
Nice to have
- Chiller, AHU or fan coil unit servicing experience
- Plumbing licence or fire services installation exposure
- Familiarity with a computerised maintenance management system
What you get
- Predictable weekend hours — the roster is published a month ahead
- Hourly rate premium for typhoon and rainstorm standby attendance
- Uniform, tools and safety equipment provided
- Pro-rata statutory holidays and MPF contributions
- Company-paid REW registration renewal
