About the role
Victoria Wealth Partners is a boutique of just under 90 people looking after around 240 Hong Kong and regional families. We are not a product factory; the average relationship has been with us for eleven years, and several of our clients are second generation.
The Associate seat pairs you with two senior relationship managers whose combined book sits close to US$900 million. You prepare the client reviews, run the pre-meeting analytics, handle account opening and periodic review paperwork, and increasingly take the client calls the bankers cannot take. It is a deliberate apprenticeship: five of our nine current RMs started here.
You will be in the office most days because the work is collaborative and the compliance environment demands it, but this is a boutique — the Managing Partner sits eight metres from your desk and you will be in the room for conversations that a larger institution would keep three levels above you.
What you'll do
- Prepare portfolio reviews, performance attribution packs and asset allocation proposals ahead of client meetings.
- Own the account opening journey end to end, coordinating with compliance on source-of-wealth documentation.
- Execute client instructions accurately across equities, bonds, funds and structured notes, and confirm the same day.
- Maintain suitability records and risk profiling refreshes in line with SFC conduct requirements.
- Track corporate actions, coupon and dividend flows across client holdings and flag anything that needs a decision.
- Join client meetings, take the minutes that matter, and follow up on every action within 48 hours.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in private banking, priority banking or wealth management operations in Hong Kong.
- SFC Type 1 licence held or the HKSI Papers 1, 7 and 8 passed and ready to transfer.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or a related field.
- Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, with English good enough for offshore custodians and counsel.
- Meticulous with documentation — in this seat a missing signature is a client's week.
Nice to have
- CFP or CPWA certification, or progress towards CFA.
- Exposure to Singapore or Swiss booking centres.
- Experience with discretionary as well as advisory mandates.
What you get
- Boutique bonus pool shared on firm performance, not a sales league table
- Medical, dental and annual body check with a Central clinic network
- Full HKSI and CFP examination sponsorship including study leave
- 18 days annual leave and an early close every Friday in July and August
- Structured path to a coverage seat, reviewed every twelve months
