Sable FX is nineteen people above a noodle shop in Central. The company was founded in 2021 after its two founders spent a decade watching mid-sized Hong Kong exporters take unhedged currency risk simply because no bank would build them a hedging programme worth less than eight figures.
The product connects to a customer's order book, models their true currency exposure, and executes a rolling hedge automatically through partner liquidity. Customers are the unglamorous backbone of the Hong Kong economy — electronics traders, toy manufacturers, freight forwarders — and they will tell you exactly what is wrong with your product, which the team considers a feature.
It is early. There are no HR business partners, the roadmap changes when a customer says something surprising, and everyone has done a bit of support. What the company offers instead is meaningful equity, direct customer contact from week one, and the chance to shape a category rather than inherit one.
