About the role
Talent Harbour's graduate academy takes eight people a year and rotates them through three practices in eighteen months: agency recruitment, rewards benchmarking, and embedded HR advisory. You leave knowing which part of the profession you actually want, which is more than most people know at thirty.
The 2027 intake starts in January. Rotations are six months each with a real desk and real deliverables in every one — graduates here make placements, build survey models and sit in client meetings. We do not manufacture projects to keep anyone busy.
Marcus Yuen runs the academy alongside eight practice mentors. Selection is a written exercise, a case interview and a half-day in the office meeting the people you would work with. We give every candidate an outcome, including the ones we decline.
What you'll do
- Rotate through recruitment, rewards and HR advisory, taking on live client work in each placement.
- Source and screen candidates, write briefs, and support consultants through to the offer stage.
- Clean, match and analyse salary survey data, and draft sections of client benchmarking reports.
- Prepare HR documentation — contracts, handbooks, onboarding packs — under supervision.
- Complete the academy curriculum covering the Employment Ordinance, MPF, interviewing technique and client communication.
- Present a rotation review to the practice leads at the end of each six months.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree awarded in 2026, or expected by mid-2027, in any discipline.
- Cantonese and English at business level; both are used daily from week one.
- Right to work in Hong Kong — IANG graduates are welcome and we will support the paperwork.
- Evidence that you finish things: a society you ran, a job you held through university, a project you shipped.
Nice to have
- Mandarin for regional candidate calls.
- An internship in HR, sales or client services.
- Comfort with spreadsheets beyond the basics.
What you get
- Fixed starting salary reviewed at every rotation
- A named mentor in each of the three practices
- Professional membership and exam support from year one
- Permanent offer for graduates who complete the programme successfully
- 15 days' annual leave and a genuine five-day week
